At Amcor Rigid Packaging (ARP), our teams are focused on developing and making plastic bottles and jars that create a unique experience and are better for the environment. The Maintenance Planner will strengthen safe operations, enhance product quality, and increase efficiencies by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning and coordination of labor, parts, material, and equipment access. This position acts as liaison between Operations and Maintenance and is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating all maintenance work performed within the facility as well as overseeing parts and receiving department.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

Create, maintain, and improve the Maintenance Planning process flow
Develop a comprehensive understanding of all required maintenance activities to create and publish a Master PM Plan for the facility to optimize and positively impact plant goals
Work closely with Production Planners to optimize weekly changeovers, PM's, and overhauls to meet daily production goals
Execute on approved proposals by writing applicable procedures, purchasing necessary parts, equipment, and services, working with the Stock Room team to kit PM materials, and following up on completed projects
Develop and measure key performance indicators, use root cause analysis tools to determine best practices, and maintain focus on continuous improvement
Maintain accuracy of SAP/CMMS systems, job histories, and technical information
Work with Operations team to create standard operating procedures, work instructions, and PM BOMs
Assist in driving continuous improvement, collaboration, and a lean manufacturing culture
Receives and verifies MRO items and supplies.
Processes receiving documentation using a computer system. This will include MRO parts, resin, dunnage, and other materials and packaging items.
Receiving support documentation management including document scanning.
Ensures operations are completed in accordance with safety procedures
Notifies buyer of discrepancies between items received and actual invoiced amount.
Properly stores all MRO items.
Issues all MRO items following written procedures.
Maintains required stock levels and prepares and submits requisitions for stock replenishment.
Completes required documentation for outbound capital assets and repair items.
Generates reports using computer programs and maintains files.
Cycle counting MRO parts and reconciliation of parts inventory.
Assists with transfer of MRO parts to other plants.
Acts as the backup buyer and performs buyer functions in the buyer's absence.
Effectively communicates with all internal and external customers.
Maintains a clean work area and performs general housekeeping duties.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

5 years of experience in an Operations, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Engineering, or Materials role in a Manufacturing company
3 years of experience in Maintenance or Operations Planning
3 years MRP/ERP experience
Proficient in SAP CMMS module
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Valid driver's license
Travel 10%

Preferred Qualifications

Associates degree in a technical field
Hands-on experience working as Maintenance Mechanic, preferably in a high speed/high volume manufacturing environment
Working Knowledge of SAP
Proficient in Microsoft Project
